Outside Kick -- Break it down
I've probably told you all this before, but I really think the key to this jump is breaking it down into pieces. First practice just jumping off both feet and landing, you really need the height. Second, practice the kick: left hand slap to right leg while left leg is straight. Practice this until you can do the kick in the air then have some time with your legs together before you land. Next, practice jumping and spinning without the kick; you generally want to get 180 degrees over your target, so if you were going for a 360 outside, you would want to pull off a 540 spinning jump (no kick). Then just put it all together, and practice! Be careful about the landing though, your ankles can start to hurt after you roll them several times

Make sure that you are kicking almost like a jump front kick. It will help your rotation to make your kick as fast as possible up and down, not a big wide arc like an outside kick.

Most of the rotation comes from your hip and the speed of your kick. The slap should occur after you have jumped and rotated 180 degrees. So basically if you were facing the mirror and start the outside jump the slap should happen with your back towards the mirror. If you do this then you only have another 180 degrees to turn which gives you enough time to land in a horse stance.
