How to get rotation on the lotus kick
So I have noticed that most people have the kicking motion of a lotus kick down but still can't get enough rotation. The key to getting rotation is in the approach and in the jump. Make sure you run in a semi-circle when you approach the jump. When you jump you have to kick your left leg to your right shoulder. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! If you don't do that you won't be able get your initial rotation. Kicking towards your right shoulder also helps with getting you to jump higher. After the jump you need to immediately do an outside kick. If this kick is too slow, you will not be able to rotate fast. One other thing is a lot of people stop the rotation of their upper body. If you stop the upper body from rotating you stop your rotation.
So basically the steps to a 360 lotus kick is.
1. Semi-circle approach
2. Strong kick towards the right shoulder with your left leg
3. Fast outside kick
4. Make sure not to stop upper body rotation
If you follow these steps you will get a 360 lotus. Good Luck

Thats more for the standing jump outside. You don't want to go only up and down on the lotus.
